4 Simple Steps to Caravan Ownership

With so many manufacturers, makes and models available for every taste and budget. We want to help you find the perfect holiday caravan for your family a little easier, with our simple step by step guide.

Choose your perfect Park...

We have three caravan parks for you to choose from, each with its own distinct style and range of facilities.  We recommend that you choose what type of park you are looking for. Are you looking for an action packed park with entertainment and lots of facilities, or would you prefer a tranquil and peaceful park?

Once you have decided on a particular park, we recommend that you explore the local area. How long does it take to get to from home? Is there enough to do in the area to keep the whole family happy on every visit?

Decide if the running costs are affordable...

We recommend that you calculate the annual costs involved in owning a caravan. There are 4 regular costs that you need to consider - site fees, gas, electric and insurance.

Site Fees - Although your first season is free of charge, this is the largest expense to consider. Invoices are sent out in January and are due by 28th February. 2018 site fees are:

Crows Nest - £2450.00

Jasmine Park - £2650.00

Robin Hood - £2320.00

Gas - We often get asked how long a gas bottle lasts, and the simplest answer is that it depends how much you use it. We simply exchange gas bottles as and when you need them. You can purchase bottles in the park reception, and we will deliver them to your caravan.

Electric - Every caravan has a digital meter that is read once per year, you pay for exactly what you use. Electric bills are usually sent in September and are due within 14 days of invoice.

Insurance- All caravans must be insured, we are able to arrange insurance for your caravan, however you are under no obligation to insure through ourselves.

Crow’s Nest Camp Ltd; Crow’s Nest Farm Ltd and Jasmine Parks Ltd are appointed representatives of Arthur J. Gallagher Insurance Brokers Limited which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Registered Office: Spectrum Building 7th Floor, 55 Blythswood Street, Glasgow, G2 7AT. Registered in Scotland. Company Number: SC108909.

Our staff members will be more than happy to help you with further information as they show you around the park.

Choose your perfect Caravan...

We understand that caravans are a substantial investment, so it is essential to make sure that your purchase meets your needs, suitable for your proposed usage and is within your budget. To help you choose your perfect caravan, answer these simple questions:

Would you like a new or pre-owned caravan? There are 3 options when choosing your caravan:

  • Choose a new caravan from our current stock
  • Choose a used caravan from our current stock
  • Choose a new caravan ordered to your specification

What is your budget? We find it best to be open and honest about how much money you would like to spend on your caravan, we will not show you a caravan that is outside your budget.

Do you require two bedrooms or three? Remember all our caravans have a pull out sofa bed in the lounge which is great for guests.

You should now be in a great position to choose your caravan, why not use our Caravan Search and see what we have available.

OUR TIP - You will no doubt visit lots of caravans in your search, we find that you will know whether you like the caravan or not in the first 10 seconds. Don't like it after 10 seconds? Then walk back out and save your time for the caravans that you do like.

Choose your perfect Pitch...

So now you have chosen the perfect caravan on the perfect park at a price you can afford... all you have to do now is choose your pitch. There are always pro's and cons to every pitch; you just have to decide what is right for you.

Many of our used caravans are already sited on pitches, however it maybe possible to move it. If you would prefer the caravan to be moved please mention it to staff members and we can help you chose a preferable pitch.

We hope that this short guide has made buying your holiday caravan a little bit easier. For any more advice or information, please feel free to call us at any time.
